By downloading, installing, or using Stokkd Fridge Mate ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Stokkd Fridge Mate is an iOS application that helps users track fridge and pantry contents, receive expiry alerts, discover recipes, plan meals, and manage shopping lists. The App offers AI-powered features for subscribed users, powered by Anthropic's Claude AI.
The App operates on a freemium model with three tiers:

Pro and Family subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. After the trial, your subscription will automatically renew at the applicable price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Prices are displayed in your local currency and may vary by region. All prices include applicable taxes.
AI features are subject to monthly usage caps as described in the Subscription Plans table above. Usage caps reset on the 1st of each calendar month at 00:00 UTC. Unused quota does not carry over to the following month. If you reach your monthly cap, you will be notified and can continue using the App's non-AI features.
AI Chef is powered by Anthropic's Claude AI and provides recipe suggestions based on your fridge and pantry contents. Important disclaimers:
Not medical or nutritional advice: AI-generated recipes and nutritional information are approximate suggestions only. They should not replace professional dietary, medical, or nutritional advice. Always consult a healthcare professional for specific dietary needs.
Allergy warning: AI Chef may not identify all potential allergens in suggested recipes. Users with food allergies or sensitivities must independently verify all ingredients before preparing any recipe.
Nutritional accuracy: Calorie counts, kJ values, and macronutrient information are estimates based on standard serving sizes and publicly available food databases. Actual nutritional values may vary depending on brands, preparation methods, and portion sizes.
Food safety: The App provides expiry date tracking as a guide only. Always use your own judgement regarding food safety. When in doubt, discard items that appear or smell spoiled, regardless of the tracked expiry date.
AI features require an active internet connection. We strive to maintain high availability of our AI service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. If the AI service is temporarily unavailable due to server maintenance, network issues, third-party service disruptions, or unexpected technical problems, the App will automatically fall back to built-in local recipe suggestions.
Fallback behaviour: Local suggestions are generated entirely on your device using a pre-built recipe database. They are based on common ingredient combinations but are less personalised than AI-generated recipes. No data is transmitted externally during fallback mode.
No refunds for interruptions: Temporary AI service interruptions do not entitle users to refunds or subscription credits, as the App continues to provide core functionality (fridge tracking, expiry alerts, local recipes, shopping lists) during any AI downtime.
The App, including its design, code, content, and branding, is the intellectual property of Jax. AI-generated recipe suggestions are provided for your personal use and may not be commercially redistributed.
You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose of personal food management. You may not attempt to reverse engineer the App, exploit the AI service beyond normal usage, or use the App for any unlawful purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to foodborne illness, allergic reactions, or financial loss from food waste. The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
