Stokkd ("we", "our", or "the app") is a food management and recipe discovery app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and an encrypted password. If you use Apple Sign In, we receive your name and email from that service.
App data: Your fridge items, pantry items, meal plans, dietary preferences, and recipe interactions are stored to provide the app's core functionality. This data is stored locally on your device and, if you are signed in, synced to our cloud database (Firebase Firestore) so it is available across sessions.
Purchase information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, Apple handles all payment processing through the App Store. We do not collect or store your credit card or payment details. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status from Apple.
Usage data: We may collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app experience, such as which features are used most frequently. This data is not personally identifiable.

The free tier of Stokkd displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising in your device's privacy settings. Paid subscribers (Pro and Family plans) do not see any advertisements.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only with:

Stokkd is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymous usage data may be retained for analytical purposes.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
